This is an important message to all Double Whammy Group Passholders for the 2010-2011 Season
After 10 successful years of forming groups for the
Double Whammy Group Pass program, POWDER RIDER is sad to announce that
this group will not be forming for the 2011-2012 season.
Vail Resorts, which purchased Northstar in late 2010 has discontinued the
group pass program.
For those of you interested in a seasons pass next season there are some
options:
- Sierra at Tahoe is offering a really cheap $199 pass - no Saturdays.
They also have a $349 unlimited pass. Pretty good deal if you were a
Sierra only rider. Sierra at Tahoe Web Site.
- Northstar/Heavenly is offering a Tahoe Value Pass for $379 with some
blackout dates. Northstar is blacked out ALL SATURDAYS. Buy before May 8
and its just $359. This is a great deal if youre mostly a Heavenly rider.

- Epic Local Pass for $499, with some blackout days at Heavenly and
Northstar. Includes access to Vail's Colorado resorts too. This is for
users that like to ride Northstar mostly, or if you plan to visit Colorado
during the season. $479 if you buy before May 8.

Now heres the inside tip on the passes - I heard this from someone
but havent verified it. If you buy a normal lift ticket this season, you
can apply its cost to next years seasons pass. Basically its like
being able to bring a friend skiing for free this season.
I want to take this opportunity to wish all of our past members a happy
rest of the 2010-11 season, and a great summer. Lets all do a little
snow dance and hope for another HUGE winter next year.
